W. 32nd Avenue & E. 33rd Avenue Upgrades

Construction of W. 30th Avenue / North Star Street Phase 1 improvements was completed in 2022. The design team is working on the 95% design for the W. 32nd Avenue and Calais Drive Phase 2 improvements that extend from the western side of the C Street / W. 32nd Avenue intersection to the eastern side of the Denali Street / Calais Drive intersection. No funding for Phase 2 construction has been received at this time.

The Municipality of Anchorage is evaluating upgrades to the W. 32nd Ave and E. 33rd Ave Corridor that runs west-east through Midtown Anchorage from Spenard Road to Old Seward Highway. The purpose of this project is to enhance safety and accessibility for vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists by implementing Complete Streets design standards as recommended by the Anchorage Vision Zero Steering Committee. Improvements include:
